Business & shopping calculators

Price products, check margins, split bills and work out percentages in seconds.

Percentages run every business

Margins, markups, discounts, tax and return on investment are all percentage math, and they are easy to get wrong in your head. A 50% markup is only a 33% margin; a 20% discount followed by 20% off again is not 40% off. These tools do the math precisely and show the in-between numbers so you can see exactly where the result comes from.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between margin and markup?

Markup is profit as a percentage of cost; margin is profit as a percentage of the selling price. The same $25 profit on a $50 cost and $75 price is a 50% markup but a 33.3% margin.
