About this image converter
Some sites won't accept WebP, some forms only take JPG, and graphics with transparency need PNG. This converter changes images between the three most common web formats — individually or in batches — with a quality setting for JPG and WebP.
Conversion uses your browser's own image engine, so files stay on your device and big batches convert quickly.
How to use the Image Converter
- Choose or drop one or more images.
- Pick the output format and quality.
- Click "Convert & download" — multiple files arrive as a ZIP.
Which format should I use?
JPG is best for photos and is accepted everywhere, but has no transparency. PNG is lossless and supports transparency — ideal for logos, screenshots and graphics with text. WebP supports both lossy and lossless compression and transparency, with smaller files than JPG or PNG.
Worked example
A 1.2 MB PNG screenshot saved as WebP at 85% quality is often under 200 KB with no visible difference.
Tips for better results
- Converting a JPG to PNG won't restore lost quality — it only changes the container.
- Transparent areas become white when converting to JPG.
Frequently asked questions

Does converting reduce quality?
PNG output is lossless. JPG and WebP use the quality you choose.
